Re•Vision: The Centre for Art and Social Justice invites you to join us in Guelph and online for a Digital Storytelling for Research and Advocacy Workshop, February 13 – 27, 2024.
This workshop is for those interested in learning more about digital storytelling as a research method, powerful communication tool, and strategy for social change.
This three-week choose your own adventure experience over the course of 4 sessions will include both online and in-person options to choose from. It will provide an overview of digital storytelling as a method for a range of applications and a hands-on experience with an online, collaborative, video editing software, WeVideo to produce your own short film.
Online and In-Person, you will learn about:
- sound design,
- visual representation, and
- advanced editing skills.
In-Person, we will offer:
- animation tools and techniques,
- spoken word poetry, and
- food.
No prior experience needed. All the equipment for the in-person instruction, and support will be provided. Those participating in the workshop entirely online will need access to a computer equipped with Google Chrome.
